Aloha!

We're off to Honolulu, Hawaii tomorrow for a mini vacay. I can smell the garlic shrimp from here. Speaking of shrimp trucks, I can't really decide which shrimp truck is better? Everyone touts Giovanni's, Fumi's and the Famous Kahuku Shrimp truck. Well, I guess we need to go to the score cards for this one (aka Yelp reviews).

Here's how each stacked up:
  1. Famous Kahuku Shrimp Truck (4.5 stars)
  2. Giovanni's Shrimp Truck (4 stars)
  3. Fumi's Shrimp Truck (3.5 stars)

Hey man, it is what it is. If you don't agree, maybe you should write more Yelp reviews. Anyways, we don't have any reservations to anywhere since we were here last year and pretty much hit up every single place you can imagine like La Mer, Orchid's (brunch), Alan Wong's, Ono's, Helena's, Leonard's Malasadas, Elena's Filipino Restaurant, Hank's Haute Dogs, 3 shrimp trucks, Matsumoto Shaved Ice, Dole Plantation, 3660 on the Rise, etc.

Now 3660 on the Rise deserves another trip. The butterfish was like BUTTER! So good. Yum! Can't wait because I've been starving for the last 3 days, not intentionally tho. I've been battling high fevers (up to 102 degrees) for the last few days. It's a side effect of radiation. It makes you not want to eat. I had to get radiation everyday for 6.5 weeks which ended a week ago. It makes my skin peel then blister and of course it looks gross and painful. No evidence photos tho. It's gross, trust me.

Sigh..the life of a cancer survivor: Eat less, hungry all the time. Aloha!

Have fun!

I tried Giovanni's Shrimp Truck over the summer and thought it was delicious! Their classic garlic shrimp is the way to go. It was the best of the three (garlic, lemon, spicy) that we tried.
